The Global Payroll Manager sets strategy, oversees and coordinates all aspects of payroll globally including regular review of payroll vendor relationships for 40 countries. Serves as subject matter and industry expert on global payroll administration. Work is accomplished primarily through multiple teams of senior payroll group managers covering each region. Responsible for resource allocation across the teams and ensuring projects are on schedule and within budget. Sets strategy on how work is integrated across teams and functional areas (recruiting admin, workforce admin, time and attendance and benefits) and that the work produced meets product/service standards and exceeds quality standards. Ensures global/regional implementation and administration of payroll policies and procedures are in compliance with organizational and relevant laws, policies and regulations. Is ultimately responsible for ensuring the accuracy of and approving all master payroll calendars, processing schedules and the timely and accurate delivery of pay to 55,000 employees.
Addresses payroll issues escalated by regional payroll group managers. Leads the development of reports for presentation to global and stakeholder management on identified issues, errors and inefficiencies. Reviews internal and external proposals on payroll design, potential new components to be evaluated and existing components to be assessed. Uses broad knowledge of the field and best practice solutions to approve or adjust proposals. Leads the regional teams in implementing changes. Acts as the subject matter expert as the company moves from an on premise HR platform to a cloud solution. Recruits, directs, motivates and develops staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team.
Qualifications
Bachelor‘s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Advanced/graduate degree preferred. 10-15 years of total work experience preferred with 8-10 years of global payroll management experience preferred. CPP or equivalent designation is preferred. Degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred.
