Description
The IAM Data/Business Analyst serves as a liaison between Experian’s Global Security Office and business partners to analyze business requirements and reviews/produces specifications for integrating applications with the Global Identity Management solution.
The successful candidate will turn data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions. Candidate will do complete life cycle data generation and outline critical information related to Identity and Access Management (IAM) data.
The candidate should be someone who:
• can analyze business procedures and recommend specific types of data
• can work closely with cross functional teams
• has knowledge of IAM repositories, audit data for account lifecycle management, understanding of elevated account privileges.
• has full lifecycle analysis to include requirements, activities and design and trouble shooting skills.
• will develop analysis and reporting capabilities as well as monitor performance and quality control plans to identify improvements.
• will need to understand and anticipate analytical needs across the Identity and Access Management domain, autonomously plan and execute the efforts to address needs for daily operational effectiveness and compliance
Responsibilities:
• Act as a data steward to monitor and improve overall data quality, continuously review and validate data for accuracy, and help define and document on-going process changes
• Identify and recommend alternatives to streamline data to support business process and requirements
• Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
• Use data to create models that depict trends in SLA’s, operational deficiencies and operational improvements. Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
• Developing and implementing data analyses, data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality to generate useful business reports
• Work with management to create a prioritized list of needs
• Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
• Implement transformations (likely in SQL) from various raw data sets (the application database, third party data sets, logs) to an analytics-friendly data structure
• Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
• Document relevant technical and business metadata and project recaps
• Monitor product audit reports to ensure data is consistent across systems
• Conducts meetings with clients or business units to define the detailed business requirements or technical requirements for solutions. Determines solution feasibility and establishes project perimeters and objectives.
• Conducts research to determine if solutions to business requirements currently exist within or outside the business unit, and if not, whether new solutions are feasible
• Collaborates with development or IT personnel to document conceptual systems designs with data and process flows. Consolidates all supporting business requirements documentation for the project and facilitates IT approval of solution designs.
• Analyzes impact of proposed solution across the business
• Establishes and enforces organization standards to maintain quality service.
• Develops use cases to explain/demonstrate business requirements/specifications to IT team, and contributes business partner’s perspective during design reviews
• Provides input to the development of formal business cases when enterprise wide business solutions are proposed
Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Business Information Systems, or related quantitative discipline
• 6+ years’ in data analyst role
• 6+ years’ SQL experience
• 5+ years’ IAM Experience with knowledge of Identity & Access Management solutions Previous experience with IAM data such as Oracle Identity and Access Management, SailPoint, or Tivoli
• 4+ years’ experience with data models (relational, de-normalize), database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
• Expertise in SQL and comfort working with large, complex data sets
• Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc), databases (SQL etc), programming (XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks)
• Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
• Hands-on experience constructing visual analytics with Oracle BI Publisher, Cognos, BO, SSRS, or Tableau
• Strong process improvement and documentation skills
• Responsible for adherence to IT processes and standards across the program
