Job Description
Investment Data Operations Team is looking for Senior Data Management Analyst to join Enterprise Fund Master (EFM) Team and Index Data Team. As an analyst in Investment Data you will be part of a team that owns Enterprise Fund Master and responsible for stewardship and support of Investments Data in regards to fund and account. You will participate in research and management of enterprise data as well as provide strategic solutions to business and technology partners.
Responsibilities and Deliverables
• Understand business and data needs across the enterprise with a focus on Investment, Product, Distribution and Operations teams
• Build trust and respect, establish relationships with Investment , Distribution Tech, Technology and Operations teams
• Build business cases, validate project objectives and goals and communicate approach, strategy and rationale
• Participate in project execution: Work in cross-functional teams and deliver requirements, perform data analysis and recommend processes improvements
• Manage EFM data quality via daily and monthly reports as well as offshore support
• Work with Data Governance team to populate and maintain EFM Monthly Data Quality Reports
• Maintain EFM Data Dictionary and data validations and rules
• Support daily EFM activities – fund, account onboarding, benchmark, index and investment personnel changes
• Assist in the analysis and discovery of current EFM retirement and transition to a new platform
• Expected to support the tasks and coordination efforts of setting up a new index/benchmark
• Support investment benchmark data delivery and accuracy for Investment, Client Report, and Marketing materials
Qualifications
• 2-5 years of experience in business and data analysis and process flows
• Experience in financial services with a strong understanding of mutual funds
• Experience with Bloomberg, Polar Lake, Thomson Reuters, FTSE Russell, MSCI, Factset, Barra, Market EDM a plus
• Prior experience with reporting tools such as Cognos and Tableu are a plus
• Proven ability in successfully understanding and capturing business requirements with a strong attention to details
• Strong ability to represent and document business processes, interaction flows, data flows, use cases, test cases, BRDs
• Some knowledge of user centered design processes and working knowledge of “Design Thinking” methodologies
• Effective organizational and communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Proven leadership and collaboration abilities
• Advanced understanding of MS applications with focus on data analysis (Excel), process flow (Visio), documentation (Word, OneNote) and presentations (PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of & experience with wire framing tools (Sketch or Visio)
• Technical skills such as Microsoft SQL, systems administration, support or development a plus
