POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Business Management Specialist is responsible for supporting project management and analytics for initiatives within TIAA’s Institutional Retirement Business (IRB). The position will deliver robust data analytic tools, analysis and aligned reporting to support Proactive Client Retention Strategy & the Readiness, Rollout and Adoption (RR&A) end to end process. The position will work with the business partners to leverage best practices and innovations in the IRB unit.
The role will influence decisions through analysis, reporting, data lead advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. The job also streamlines the Proactive Client Retention Strategy & RR&A processes through automation thereby improving quality and reducing cost. The position is also responsible for executing on key business strategies and supporting the execution of business strategies that are impacted by the Proactive Client Retention Strategy & RR&A processes.
A qualified candidate will have extensive experience in utilizing data to identify business opportunities and effectively communicate those opportunities with a cost conscious and continuous improvement mindset.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
• Act as data analyst and reporting SME for the Proactive Client Retention Strategy & Readiness, Rollout and Adoption process
• Lead key continuous improvement efforts, ensuring that clear targets, goals and expectations are established, tracked, and communicated to management with a specific focus on adoption targets
• Develop linkages to ensure alignment and accountability regarding continuous improvement within the IRB, the business community
• Monitor action plans aligned to change events impacting IRB and those resulting from process improvement activities, specifically driven by and impacting the RR&A process
QUALIFICATIONS:
Basic Qualifications (Required):
• Bachelor’s Degree is required
• Three or more years’ experience working in a Financial Services company is required
• Three or more years’ experience managing, analyzing and reporting on large quantities of data is required
• Three or more years’ experience in Project Management, Business Management or similar position is required
• Two or more years’ experience using Tableau and Access is required
• Two more years’ experience in utilizing PowerPoint to communicate to data analysis is required
Preferred Qualifications (Desired):
• Retirement Services experience and familiarity with retirement products and services is preferred
• VBA experience at an expert level is desired
• PMP certification is desired
• Lean Six Sigma principles or experience is desired
• SharePoint expertise is desired
• Ability to simplify complex business process through automation & robotics is highly desired
• Ability to conceptualize and deliver people, process & technology solutions that improve internal and external client experience is preferred
• Ability to understand linkages between divisional strategies and drivers and process improvement programs is highly desired
• Ability to set aggressive yet achievable goals and monitor and drive to results is desired
• Excellent communication skills, including active listening skills is highly preferred
• Excellent analytical thinker and problem solver is desired
