Summary of Responsibilities:
• The Lease Manager reviews, monitors and directs all Lease End activities while ensuring company policies and procedures, as well as State and Federal laws are compliant. Priorities include leading a team of 10-20 nonexempt associates involving coaching, developing, attendance tracking, training and motivating performance. Additional duties include project management and implementation of strategic work flows while maintaining a best in-class customer satisfaction experience.
Essential Functions:
• Serves as liaison between SC/Chrysler Capital and outside agencies and/or 3rd parties.
• Provides training and motivation to Lease Coordinators and other team members while ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures, as well as all State and Federal regulations.
• Maintains a professional network of external contacts to implement best practices.
• Evaluates customer service skills and competencies of team members ensuring performance to achieve objectives.
• Monitors and resolves all escalated customer issues before they become a complaint.
• Implements new approaches and concepts to enhance workflow to improve and implement best practices.
• Directs repossession, recoveries, and when available implementing remedies.
• Resolves and reviews lease portfolio of accounts maturing from 90 days to post maturity.
• Reconciles the collection of term lease documentation to process the Final Bill.
• Promotes a cooperative and productive work environment to drive desired results.
• Participates actively in reporting modifications and development of new policies.
• Performs regular account audits to ensure integrity.
• Interviews prospective talent for new, proposed, and replacement staff positions.
• Reviews and monitors exception reporting to maintain accuracy and resolve problems.
• Completes consistent performance reviews for team member recognition and/or performance improvement plans.
• Manages attendance activities for all direct and indirect reports to ensure compliance to policy.
• Identifies process enhancements and procedural challenges, recommending appropriate solutions.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and work experience may be substituted in lieu of experience
• Minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years’ experience in Auto Finance required (preferred knowledge of Leasing and Retail and Lease Remarketing)
• Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years management experience required (Internal candidates who do not meet the stated requirements for management experience (but, are otherwise qualified) may be considered for this role on a conditional basis in compliance with section 9. 3. 33 of SC’s Internal Transfer and Promotion Policy).
• Must have advanced understanding of loss prevention and collection policies and procedures and be familiar with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).
• Effective organizational skills.
• PC/Windows skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Possess an understanding of individual state laws affecting transporting, title requirements and legal sale timeframes.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize.
• Superior industry/product knowledge.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, sales and closing skills a must.
• Demonstrated ability to positively lead, coach and develop others.
• Ability to make decisions and use good judgment in relation to the handling of customers and supervision of team members.
• Must be flexible and possess the ability to adapt quickly.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Working Conditions:
• Extended working hours may be required as dictated by management and business needs.
• Travel to multiple facilities may be required.
• May be required to lift, push, or pull materials weighing up to twenty (20) pounds.
• May be required to sit and review information on a computer screen for long periods of time.
• May require repetitive motions of the hands and wrist related to writing and typing at an electronic keyboard.
• Corporate / satellite office role.
