• Provide direction and leadership to the Information Services and Business Intelligence department
• Set short, medium and long term vision for the Business Intelligence department, including staffing, organizational structure, productivity
• Manage and oversee internal and external client requirements collection process
• Manage and oversee Busness Intelligence development process
• Manage and oversee Busness Intelligence quality control process
• Manage and oversee Busness Intelligence automation and production support process
• Business Inteligence or MIS management experience in financial sector
• Mortgage experience, especially in the servicing
• Prior experience with Foreclosure, Bankruptcy, REO and Property Preservation.
• Prior experience in buiding and managing fast pace and high efficiance teams.
• The ability to multitask in a fast paced environment, especially the ability to meet tight deadlines for our clients.
• The vision to architect and build a scalable Business Inteligence environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Manage and oversee a multi-functional Business Intelligence department within a mortgage servicing space. This includes but is not limited to managing internal and external client requirements, development of reports, files or similar business intelligence deliverables, development and management of a scalable business intelligence production and automation environment and quality control mechanisms.
• Develop scalable processes to manage tasks within each area under management.
• Develop and manage process driven solutions using Windows and Microsoft SQL Server environment.
• Develop and maintain internal and external client communication, interaction process to manage workload, work assignments and status tracking.
• Develop and maintain scalable BI process using queries, reports, files, datamarts, dashboards or similar. Manage or assist managing staff of SQL, SSRS, and Excel developers.
• Develop and maintain scalable report, file, datamart production process using SSRS, SSIS or similar.
• Ensure quality control best practices are followed.
• Ensure seamless and scalable BI development lifecycle across department.
• Make recommendations and develop best practices for BI presentation layers such as stand-alone reports, dashboards, self-serve tools, drill through tools.
• Manage and balance workloads, monitor timeliness of deliveries, manage efficiency of the department and staff.
• Work closely with Information Technology department to evaluate and propose infrastructure architecture and improvements.
• Work closely with Information Technology and Operational departments to evaluate and propose database and datamart structures for the purpose of Business Intelligence use.
• Facilitate identification of various data sources and their integration within the Business Intelligence infrastructure
• Work with the rest of the company on Business Intelligence needs and improvements
Qualifications
• 4 year degree in computer science or similar required
• Master degree in computer science, business preferred
• Minimum 10-15 years of proven management experience within Business Intelligence, IS or MIS areas
• Minimum 10-15 years of proven experience with Microsoft SQL Server tools including queries, SSRS, SSIS
• Experience with financial sector, specifically in credit and mortgage in particular
• Experience with mortgage or other credit products’ servicing
• Experience with client centric BI model
• Experience with MSP, or other mortgage platforms
• Experience with BI presentation tools such as Monarch, Passport, Business Objects, Cognos, Brio, Microstrategy, Power BI or Tableau or Looker
• Strong resource management skills
• Strong computer skills.
