Responsibilities
The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) group is responsible for developing, implementing, enhancing and maintaining CIT’s overall ERM programs. The Director, Market Risk Management will provides oversight of CIT’s Treasury Group activities to manage interest rate risk and foreign exchange risk. Role will collaborate with various subject matter experts across operational, vendor, information and regulatory risk, as well as risk appetite and compliance.
At the direction of the Head of Enterprise Risk Management responsibilities will include:
• Develop an in-depth working knowledge of CIT’s businesses and functions to support Enterprise Risk Management and the Market Risk function.
• Drive the design and implementation of risk methodologies to fulfill regulatory requirements
• Participate in the formulation of remediation and implementation plans with respect to the Fed's matters requiring attention(MRAs)
• Develop cohesive and comprehensive program elements to further ERM’s market risk management objectives
• Ensure emerging risks are identified and recommend actions to reduce risk exposure
• Contribute to the annual CCAR submission and reporting
• Interface with key staff in CIT’s various business segments to identify business needs which could be supported by the team’s work
• Lead and participate in various risk governance committees and working groups
• Perform or oversee the timely completion of all assigned projects and activities
• Lead and manage risk professionals as assigned
Qualifications
• BS in Finance, Economics or other relevant area
10+ years of related risk management experience within financial services (or clear demonstration of comparable skillset)
• Knowledge of CCAR and DFAST
• Ability to understand diverse financial products, including accounting business processes, financial, management and regulatory reporting
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Solid interpersonal skills as well as the ability to learn and apply new concepts quickly
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, ability and experience developing executive materials and comfort presenting to senior management and Regulators
• Ability to work independently and influence others; demonstration of leadership, resourcefulness and initiative
• Strong work ethic and the ability to manage concurrent deadlines and multi-task across both team oriented and individual projects
