Department Summary:
The Project Manager & Business Analyst is a member of SGAS Operations team. With an analytical approach this position helps to identify possible improvements and manage projects, collect and formalize the requirements to implement improvements, and participate in the design, testing and implementation of the solutions.
Mission
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
• Participate in the implementation of organizational or technical solutions in response to the need for optimized processing of any Operations and Customer Services functions
• Work with clients, Account Executives, business managers and operation teams to manage projects and define business requirements for assigned projects and other enhancement requests
• Proactively follow up on assigned projects/tasks to make sure business needs are being carried out as planned
• Manage the on boarding of clients into the STP process
• Maintain project plans, tasks and reporting
• Perform user acceptance testing of in-house or 3rd party applications prior to deployment in production
• Create or update functional support documents
• Work with the Application Support group and the rest of the Information Technology team to deliver the best service to our user community
• Analyze specific functional processes and procedures, closely manage issues in relation to process decisions and preferences, and search for best practices and propose solutions
• Participate in the definition, implementation and monitoring of Key Performance Indicators for the Operations Department
• Responsible for all North American exchange upgrades, which includes "New Products", "Application Changes", "UAT testing", "Communications". Ensuring all alerts are attended to, coordinated with the teams and implemented as required.

Ability to work independently and set priorities. Has a keen Knowledge of all systems required by the teams for daily functions. Solution Oriented.
Profile
Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SQL queries
• Comprehensive understanding of futures and options products
• Understanding of technical trade flows
Desired / Plus:
• Proficiency in PowerPoint
• SQL queries
Competencies:
• 5+ years of Business Analyst experience in the financial brokerage industry
• Good understanding of financial markets, trading and clearing of derivatives (Futures & Options) and OTC products (Equities, Securities, Currencies).
• Experience in Listed Derivatives and OTC, Middle and Back-Office applications (Sungard-GMI, Sungard-Clearvision)
• Experience in the technical domain, light development and data analysis tools (SQL Server queries, Oracle-PLSQL queries, Excel Macros)
• Knowledge of project management discipline, and functional analysis.
• Ability to analyze and document process and information flows
• Ability to use MS-Project and MS Power Point
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills
