This position will manage the team that reviews and assists with the remediating of NIGO (not in good order) applications with a primary focus on expediting the matching, receipt, and review of the Attending Physician Statement (APS). The position will ensure that all components needed to flow through AUS and other downstream processing or decision based system are identified and secured early in the submission process, communicated to distribution, and ultimately partner in achieving targeted SLA’s for turn-around time and quality.
• Manages the team responsible for receipting, matching and following up on requirements to make the policy in-force utilizing reporting tools to ensure maximum productivity and SLA compliance
• Able to work and manage associates via emails and phone calls efficiently and effectively to expedite receipt of Attending Physician Statements.
• Coordinates with other internal associates, external vendors, and agents to escalate cases and push forward on IT enhancements and requirements on a per case basis.
• Provides solutions and suggestions for improving workflow processes and IT systems to increase team efficiency, manage an operational team both procedurally and systematically in a continuously changing IT environment.
Requirements:
• 3-5+ years’ (preferred) in an elevated position (SME, POC, Supervisor).
• 8-10 years’ experience in operational processing and work teams within the financial services industry
• Ability to handle escalated phone calls to find an amicable resolution.
• Strong understanding of distribution channels and markets in which AIG conducts business.
• Strong understanding of AIG systems used for processing business.
• Has intermediate to expert understanding of excel.
• Understands how to create reports from Business Intelligence.
• Experience in working with external vendors and agents.
• In depth understanding of the business needs for end to end processing of new life insurance applications
• Strong organization and communication skills via email and phone calls.
• Forward thinking and innovative when reviewing processes and IT systems.
• Excellent at time management and prioritization.
• Strong understanding of Vendor & Record Facility practices regarding medical records.
• Very strong ability to multi-task.
• Ability to work remotely when circumstances require.
• Can perform all job functions of the Domestic Requirements Management or learn the job functions expeditiously.
• Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum of up to 2 years of of specialized trade, technical school or college.
