The Regulatory Reporting Manager will lead and participate in the preparation, review, and filing of all required financial reports to the company's banking regulators, including the OCC, FRB, and FDIC. Responsibilities include staying up-to-date on changes in bank regulatory activities, interpreting U.S. GAAP and regulatory instructions, sourcing necessary data, preparing reports along with detailed supporting workpapers, reviewing draft reports and documentation prepared by staff, supporting or leading special projects, and focusing on process improvements.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES
• Preparation and review of bank regulatory reports and supporting documentation within established deadlines. Assist in coordinating the additional reporting requirements resulting from mergers and other corporate changes.
• Manage timing of report completion to ensure that all reports are prepared and filed on a timely basis within regulatory deadlines.
• Review and identify errors and issues in drafts of bank regulatory reports and supporting documentation prepared by members of the regulatory reporting team. Support staff as they work toward resolution of found errors and issues.
• Stay current on new or changing bank regulatory reports and guidance/instructions. Assess impact to the company.
• Implement new and changing reporting requirements, including the establishing of new processes or enhancements to existing processes. Prepare associated memos and supporting documentation.
• Support or lead special projects in the regulatory reporting function.
• Assist in the development of staff member
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent required.
• 5-7 years of public accounting or financial reporting experience required
• CPA Designation preferred.
• In-depth knowledge the banking industry and regulatory guidelines preferred
• Previous management experience strongly preferred.
• Strong communication skills: written - verbal - listening. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to interact with senior level management; experience interfacing with multiple levels of the organization structure; ability to convey simple-to-complex financial information to individuals and groups
• Results oriented; ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and through changes. Able to meet strict reporting deadlines
