Description
Develop and maintain the forecasting and strategic plan modeling for Business Banking. Ensure accuracy of business financials, requiring customer-level understanding of production, balance sheet movements, and P&L impacts. Contribute to preparation of regular presentations for C-level executives informed by independent forecasting and meetings with all relevant bank stakeholders. Contribute meaningfully to the growth and profitability of Business Banking.
• Create reporting from Business Banking account and customer level balance, revenue, and expense data. Analyze the data to improve effective forecasting of balance sheet movements and account/customer profitability
• Perform directed ad hoc analysis on ways to drive meaningful profitability improvements, including NPV analysis of projects, payback for new sales roles, and loan/deposit pricing
• Regularly meet with business line leaders to share financial insights, including monthly reviews of financial results and productivity trends, regular reviews of strategic planning and budget financials, and ad hoc analysis
• Contribute to regulatory capital risk analysis for Business Banking, including forecasting balances in stress based on macroeconomic variables and merging best practices with the strategic planning process
• Cross-train with Consumer & Business Banking Finance analysts to understand and forecast drivers of growth for loans, deposit, and fees
• Meet with Accounting, Finance, Treasury, HR, and Costs Team to inform the context of results and forecasts and drive improvements bank-wide

Qualifications
• Bachelors in Business, Finance, or other related field
• Excellent financial analysis, planning and forecasting skills
• Strong Problem solving and investigative skills, coupled with a creative analytical orientation
• Expert knowledge of Excel
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• 5 years of financial analysis in banking or financial services industry preferred
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks and be accountable for results and performance
• Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with SAS or SQL preferred
