• Skills/Qualifications:
• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent work experience in workers’ compensation, health care, insurance, rehabilitation, sports medicine, or case management
• Three years’ experience in health care, insurance, workers’ compensation, or business related field
• Three years’ experience in a supervisory position
• One to three years’ experience performing workers’ compensation case management, account representative, or customer service experience in a similar industry
• Knowledge of medical terminology, coding and billing systems
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem solving and computer skills
Duties:
• Maintain workflow by establishing efficient procedures
• Monitor and evaluate workflow and processes
• Provide leadership to team members by coaching, evaluating, and providing feedback on performance
• Utilize team building and counseling skills with team members to further their professional growth and development
• Improve operational performance via preparing operational reports
• Perform quality assurance reviews
• Recommend system improvements and assist in implementation, as appropriate
• Maintain customer service by providing information
• Support staff in their customer relation efforts
• Coordinate services with other operational areas
• Contribute to overall department success by identifying and resolving issues
• Achieve established performance standards
• Adhere to established Company and BWC policy and procedures
• Maintain URAC standards as indicated in CareWorks policy and procedures manual
• Maintain confidentiality as established by Company and URAC guidelines
• Perform quality management activities to ensure URAC compliance
