Within Capital Group, North American Distribution oversees sales and distribution for North America across various client segments including retail and institutional clients. Their efforts are focused on positioning Capital Group as the active investment manager of choice, providing superior service, sales and marketing experience while broadening our business.
As an RIA Internal Wholesaler on our Internal Sales and Support team, you will partner directly with an external wholesaler to develop and execute a strategic sales strategy for a multi-state U.S. territory to develop, retain, and manage RIAs, Consultants and Bank Trusts.
Responsibilities:
• Raise and retain assets within a geographic territory by making proactive phone calls to Registered Investment Advisors and prospects to uncover and develop unique opportunities through probing and research.
• Focus on building relationships with RIAs by sharing Capital insight and culture, investment policies, and product information; gathers business intelligence and offers sales support.
• Assist RIAs in developing portfolios and provides ideas for effective practice management; shares investment ideas, investment education and product information with clients and prospects.
• Leverage marketing materials / campaigns to target specific clients and prospects for sales opportunity development.
• Identify cross-selling and prospecting opportunities through research in internal / external databases and company websites.
• Monitor external calendars, anticipates information needed in meetings, and assists with preparation of information for meetings.
• Proactively identify clients-at-risk, helps determine a client retention plan and works with external wholesaler to execute on that plan.
Qualifications:
• 3+ years related industry experience working with intermediaries or previous client service experience
• Knowledge of RIA market
• Demonstrate high degrees of initiative in identifying challenges/opportunities and recommending solutions
• Strong communication and analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse group of associates and clients
• Ability to lead and influence others
• Series 6, 63 and/or 7
• Bachelor's degree preferred
