We are currently seeking a Property Accountant to join our Northern California Property Management Team! The Property Accountant will provide full scale accounting support for the property management team across several properties, and function as a key member of this management team.
Responsibilities:
• Assist with the preparation and distribution monthly financial reports
• In concert with the GM, assist with the management of the Accounts Receivable process – monitor cash receipts, review and bill tenant recurring charges and billing adjustments and perform tenant ledger reconciliations.
• Manage and perform the Accounts Payable process – review invoice coding and approvals and ensure proper audit trail is in place.
• Maintain sales information – monitor collection of sales and review reports.
• Review leases and leasing activity to ensure accurate billing.
• Oversee capital project financial processes including cash flows, reporting and tracking
• Assist with annual budget preparation – compile key assumptions and capital budget information, maintain lease level budgeting for all tenants, review and enter budget information into the accounting system, process estimates for miscellaneous income and specialty leasing.
• Assist in Annual year-end reconciliation process – CAM, percentage rent, insurance, utilities, sewer/trash, real estate taxes.
• Assist in all audits at the property
Skills/Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field is required;.
• Minimum of 1 – 3 years of Real Estate Accounting experience is preferred.
• Commercial Urban Office preferred, will consider Retail and Suburban work
• Adaptability – maintains effectiveness in varying environments, tasks and responsibilities, or with various types of people.
• Planning and Organizing – Ability to establish a course of action to accomplish goals and evaluate results.
• Ability to multitask, work successfully under pressure and effectively prioritize and manage time and workload to meet client needs.

• Microsoft office product knowledge
• High Level MS Excel experience including formula nesting, pivot tables, lookups and database use
• MS Access or similar database experience preferred
• Multi-site experience preferred
