Responsible for the management of projects and/or a projects with major sub-projects or a program of interrelated projects, ensuring integration, coordination, timing and consistency of process throughout; and Mutual Fund Board of Trustees meeting support, including arrangement of senior executive level logistics on behalf of the Trustees in connection with Board meetings, as well as project management responsibilities with respect to the preparation of Board meeting agendas and the timely completion of all meeting materials and elements.
• Establish and implement consistent strategic and related project management policies and guidelines. Direct, motivate and manage the people, the work, and the resources necessary to achieve the program objectives, including identifying the key players on the steering or related committee, delegating responsibility and task interfaces, and establishing and updating program plans and managing deviations from the plan. Projects will include SAAMCo strategic (e.g., acquisition) and other significant projects. Maintain and report out on status of projects utilizing appropriate project management software and related tools
• Establish and implement consistent management policies and guidelines for the timely completion of all elements and materials for Mutual Fund Board meetings. Direct, motivate and manage the people, the work, and the resources necessary to achieve this objective, including identifying the key players, delegating responsibility and task interfaces, and establishing and updating program plans and managing deviations utilizing project management tools. Maintain and report out on status of Board materials and review status utilizing appropriate project management software and related tools
• Liaising with Mutual Fund Boards of Trustees in connection with regular and special Board Meetings, including arrangement of senior executive level logistics on behalf of the independent trustees and offsite arrangements (e.g., travel, hotel and restaurant arrangements), and AIG travel logistics resources, as well as maintenance of industry-related subscriptions and related matters on behalf of Board members and management.
• Management of content on Diligent Board Mutual Fund Websites, including resources and related sections, and partnering with Mutual Fund Board members, SAAMCo management and Diligent, to continue to enhance website user experience.
• Management of multi-functional periodic and ongoing projects, including projects relating to completion of industry trade group (i.e., ICI) surveys and committee memberships on behalf of the Mutual Fund Board Trustees and SAAMCo management, preparation of applications for E&O/D&O insurance programs and related matters, and preparation of materials for meetings/programs concerning AIG Financial Distributors.

• Strategic planning, program management, group motivation and discipline, imagination and diplomacy
• Excellent organization skills, ability to multi-task and set priorities and manage multiple projects involving all levels and across departments and multiple locations
• Excellent communication skills – oral, written presentation and business writing, including keeping internal and external stakeholders fully informed on a timely basis, e.g., communications with Mutual Fund Boards of Trustees
• Expert in Microsoft Office and related programs (including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and MS Project and Visio)
• Excellent technology skills (will be required to utilize and modify SharePoint and Diligent Board Book sites, and other platforms to meet Performance Objectives)
• Analytical aptitude – analyze, synthesize and recommend and implement innovative and creative solutions in connection with project management
• Excellent interpersonal skills – easily build relationships, team build and network across departments and all levels in the organization, and exercise impeccable judgment in communications with Mutual Fund Boards of Trustees
• Highly detailed oriented with the ability to multi-task and succeed in a fast-paced environment, often with tight deadlines and shifting priorities
• Strong capability to carry out logistical tasks with a high level of ownership and accountability, judgment and follow through, including logistics in connection with Mutual Fund Board meetings
• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
• Five to ten years experience
