Please Note: This role will be located in Crystal City, VA.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Responsible for day-to-day management of relations with the prime contractor and the audit client.
• Assist in the performance of a full-scope financial statement audit, to include:
• First-line preparation of planning, internal control, testing and reporting phase workpapers across various business processes.
• Management and supervision of Senior Associate and Associate team members, including direction, review, comments/revisions, and coaching tasks.
• Assistance with the determination and execution of the strategy for the audit, to include materials, testing and audit plans, and approach for material line items.
• Documentation of workpapers in accordance with auditing standards and client security requirements.
• Administrative and other tasks, as assigned.
• Perform engagement management responsibilities, including performance reviews, task delegation, project scheduling, project financials, quality review and client management.
• Meet or exceed sales targets for new and follow-on work.
• Manage business development activities, such as proposals, capture, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership materials.
• Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization).
• Act as performance manager (coach) for up to four coachees outside of engagement responsibilities.
• Interview campus and/or experienced candidates.
Qualifications
• Top Secret Clearance required.
• Experience executing full-scope financial statement audits. DOD or Intel accounting or audit experience preferred.
• Familiarity with GAO FAM, Yellow Book Auditing standards, and AICPA and FASAB Accounting Guidance.
• Basic project management skills to include budgeting, planning, personnel management, etc.
• Experience w/MS Office suite.
• Use of Teammate workpaper management system and ACL data analysis software.
• Other FM, accounting, or audit readiness experience will be consider.
• Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited college or university in a related field.
• Ability to obtain and maintain certain job-related certifications if no job-related advanced degrees.
• U.S. citizenship may be required. Ability to work in the United States indefinitely required.
• Travel may be required.
• Coach and mentor junior staff members.
• Ability to work overtime required on occasion.
• Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
• Ability to obtain and maintain firm independence and abide by firm ethics requirements.
• Meet or exceed continuing professional education (CPE) requirements.
