Job Summary: Overall Purpose of Job: The consultant for inclusion and diversity develops, implements and monitors programs that promote inclusion and diversity within the company. This role is responsible for building and maintaining the strategy and reporting of diversity data across the firm. The consultant works with key partners to ensure HR processes are as unbiased and as supportive of the I&D objectives as possible. Maintaining and building external relationships to further the I&D strategy will also be a primary responsibility.
This role will work independently with key stakeholders and client groups with an expectation of collaborating with other senior client coverage managers from within ODL to address client needs in a coordinated and consistent fashion. This individual will serve as a key member of the firm-wide diversity team, working across all levels of the firm to ensure that diversity remains a priority and is closely linked to the firm’s overall business strategy.
Responsibilities:
• Assists with the development of policies and programs to attract, retain and promote a diverse workforce for the organization.
• Determines the appropriateness of introducing diversity initiatives and considers the unique needs of the organization
• Builds and maintains strategic external partnerships to aid knowledge sharing, recruiting and recognition of I&D efforts.
• Works closely with Talent Acquisition and Staffing to assess and build best in class sourcing processes to support I&D strategy of increasing diverse candidate pool.
• Manages the diversity reporting process ensuring timely data and accurate interpretation of results
• Facilitate training sessions in small and large group forums that guide participants toward achieving the desired outcomes
• Act as advisor across other I&D initiatives providing insight and recommendations based on experience

Business and Technical Knowledge
• Multidisciplinary experience in organizational development and learning/training functions (talent management, succession, leadership, inclusion and diversity)
• Knowledge of client management approaches
• Understanding of financial services businesses and support functions
• Managed a significant budget
Qualifications
• College degree or equivalent professional experience
• Post under graduate work including certifications, licensing or master’s degree in organizational development and learning areas.
• 10-15 years demonstrated experience in learning and development or organizational development/effectiveness or inclusion and diversity (5 plus in I&D preferred)
• Evident success in working with client groups independently to identify needs and agree solutions to drive business impact; consulting and influencing skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Collaboration skills including the ability to integrate and act upon the diverse perspectives of business unit managers, instructional designers, corporate HR and external vendors
• Previous experience in program management role within learning or organizational development or inclusion and diversity team
• Strong analytical skills & problem solving capabilities
• Proven track record in prioritizing competing priorities
• Detail oriented and well organized
• Strong work ethic, ability to make decisions, & work under tight deadlines
• Evidence of having developed strategic solutions, influenced key stakeholders and executed against agreed plan
