The incumbent will work closely with a small team of Senior Equity Research Analysts. Some of the key responsibilities include: monitoring daily news flow on stocks, building financial models, reading 10-Ks, producing and distributing reports containing stock recommendations, listening to company conference calls and writing-up key points, interacting with the sell-side community, performing channel checks and other primary research. On a daily basis the candidate will be required to gather large amounts of information, decipher what is important and communicate that information in a timely and succinct manner.
Qualifications
The qualified candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree with course work in financial analysis, accounting and statistics. S/He must have a high level of attention to detail, be extremely organized and able to function independently, as well as part of a team. Solid communication skills are essential as is proficiency in Excel (ability to write macros is a plus), Word, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of FactSet is a plus.
