The Automation Developer I works in our automation environment, upgrading existing scripts, and seeks out new processes to automate.
This job posting is reflective of the Automation Developer I functions, qualifications and physical requirements. The Automation Developer II and Senior has variable essential functions, qualifications and physical requirements. Competency and skill set will determine level of placement within the posted job family.
Essential Job Functions:
• Maintains and develops both new and existing Windows batch and PowerShell scripts.
• Evaluates potential impact of new custom applications, documents custom applications and changes to existing custom applications.
• Interprets existing code for the purpose of modification and resolution of business inquiries/enhancements.
• Participates in IT development team code reviews and decisions; communicates with end users regarding system requirements and functionality.
• Utilizes proficient, test-driven development and modern scripting practices.
• Monitors and responds to system failures to ensure maximum uptime for bank systems.
• Maintains positive relationships with internal customers, vendors and development team members.
• Works with vendors to resolve issues.
• Works collaboratively with the automation development team to address technical issues and problems while driving software improvements.
• Complies with all related Federal, State and Industry laws and regulations pertaining to Banking.
• Key-boarding/Writing/Pinching (working primarily with fingers) > 66% of the time
Minimum Qualifications:
• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other similar program; or comparable professional work experience with experience in PowerShell and Windows Batch scripting
• Strong Windows experience
• Excellent organizational, analytical, planning, problem solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to travel to office and service providers
• Excellent technical support documentation skills
• Experience with Windows Batch scripts and/or PowerShell
• Additional Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working in a financial organization with retail or commercial
• Experience working with Fiserv processes/products

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working in a financial organization with retail or commercial
• Experience working with Fiserv processes/products
• 2 years experience migrating Windows Batch scripts to PowerShell
• ability to provide on-call support for system issues on weekends
