Description
The Business Analyst captures and analyzes business objectives and requirements and helps identify appropriate business solutions to those requirements. This position will primarily support stakeholders in Human Resources but responsibilities could extend to other areas as well.
• Utilizing key stakeholders and other available resources, research, facilitate discussions, analyze and evaluate options and provide recommendations to the Program Manager/Project Manager
• Collaborates with project and business stakeholders to ensure end solution meets requirements and gain an understanding of the context and impact of the project to the business line
• Conducts business needs and functional/non-functional requirements elicitation and complete functional requirements documentation through the full sign off process for project/program documentation
• Documents procedure and policy changes from current state model showing future state impacts of project and manage through the full sign off process
• Manages project tasks assigned within scope, quality and timeframe allocated with PM supervision
• Identifies and record risks, issues, dependencies and assumptions in accordance with project standards. Agree escalation level with Project Manager, and then manage those assigned through to resolution including updating project risks and issues logs
• Deputize for the Project Manager where required
Qualifications
• Minimum of 3 years previous experience as a Business Analyst (including requirements development)
• Solid understanding of project and incident management techniques/methodologies
• Familiarity with cloud framework and technical integrations
• OBIEE reporting experience is desirable
• Knowledge of HR business processes and systems is a plus
• Competent use of Microsoft Office applications to include Microsoft Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Word
• Flexibility to work across functions and support a variety of business lines
• Ability to assume project management role as necessary
• There may be a requirement for travel within the US
• Self thinker able to work through issues and escalate only when appropriate
Education
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred or a minimum of 4 years relevant Business Analysis experience.
• Working towards a relevant recognized formal qualification in Business Analysis is desirable but not essential
Hours & Work Schedule
Hours per Week: 40
Work Schedule: 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday-Friday
