Position Summary:
The Corporate Vice President, Lead for HR Reporting & Analytics, will be responsible for designing, implementing and managing a team of analysts and consultants to provide accurate and timely reporting solutions, strategic analysis of workforce data and consultative insights which drive informed and timely business decisions. This role needs to be able to flex between strategic vision, analytic expertise and operational management. Frequent interactions with senior HR leaders, HR Business Partners and members of the HR Centers of Excellence is required. This position is also responsible for development of our enterprise-wide workforce analytics capability.
Major Responsibilities Include:
1. Design, communicate and execute an enterprise strategy around reporting & analytics
2. Manage a team of analysts and consultants, developing them and producing a quality product for consumption by senior leaders
3. Implement and manage the tools and processes surrounding accurate, timely and meaningful HR reporting
4. Design and deliver a standardized set of core reports with goal of self-service and use of a dashboard
5. Analyze the NYL HR data set against internal and external benchmarks, and provide insights and meaningful, actionable commentary around that relationship
6. Function as an expert for HR analytics
7. Provide strategic analysis of workforce data from multiple systems and databases to help drive informed decisions within HR and across the business
8. Applying specific knowledge of the business to the data analytics, identify trends and areas of interest useful and actionable for HR and the business leaders
9. Monitor, analyze and report on data trends that may have a strategic impact on existing or future projects / processes
10. Provide executive summaries of dashboard analytics for HR and senior leadership
11. Create simple to complex report queries in SuccessFactors to respond to ad-hoc reporting requests
12. Apply statistical findings and communicate effectively with HR and business stakeholders for workforce capacity planning and to enhance their understanding of metrics and reports
13. Recommends measurements for workforce initiatives to determine value and effectiveness
Required qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree and minimum of 8 years related work experience
• Technical expertise:Must understand key HR metrics and the benchmarks appropriate to our industry and must be able to:articulate how business actions impact our metrics; distinguish between correlation and causation; overlay macroeconomic impacts against internal metrics; understand data models and design, and how it impacts metrics and reporting. Spotfire experience preferred.
• Problem solving skills:Generates data-driven insights through partnership and collaboration with HR business partners and internal and external functional experts; Delivers insights, not just reports. Summarizes and translates report data into organized and useable/actionable content to drive strategic decision making.
• Communications skills:Highly collaborative with clear communication skills; must be able to communicate complex ideas and statistical concepts to others in a way that is understandable to non-technical audiences.
• Customer-focused and results-orientedwith high attention for detail; ability to flex between strategic big-picture thinking and an analytical detailed-oriented focus.
• Leadership:Must demonstrate leadership capabilities, vision, and operational excellence.
