Job Purpose
The Investment Communications Manager is responsible for leading the communication efforts of JNAM’s Investment Management team. This role oversees the development and production of JNAM created marketing materials, serves as a liaison to the Senior Portfolio Specialist team, and coordinates with other groups at JNAM on delivery of various Fund and Board materials.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Oversee development of marketing collateral that promotes JNAM and its investment process and strategies.
• Contribute to writing of monthly and quarterly commentaries, shareholder reports, as well as periodic thought leadership pieces.
• Initiate the lead in the creation and updating of JNAM Investment Team presentations to internal and external partners.
• Serve as a central resource to Senior Portfolio Specialist team for new materials, research, and informal requests.
• Collaborate with the Investment Management team and with other JNAM groups to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of Board materials.
• Execute Investment Management strategies and manage deliverables in a timely fashion.
• Provide oversight of the investment team’s completion of 15c, legal, and prospectus reviews of the JNL Funds.
Other duties
• Attend conferences and seminars as needed, in support of projects and marketing efforts.
• Assist in ad hoc reporting and special projects from other groups within JNAM.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Strong project management skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks and projects to meet deadlines.
• Strong writing and communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and proficiency in proofreading and copyediting.
• Experience in effective brand-building using a variety of methods and strategies.
• Understanding of investment strategies and interest in finance theory and financial education.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office software and other relevant systems. Must have solid PowerPoint skills.
• Experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro or other design programs preferred.
Education and Experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business or related field preferred.
• A minimum of five years of relevant industry and marketing experience required.
• Project management experience preferred.
