Description

• The Technology Team supports the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of all banking systems. This team has the expertise and commitment to develop high-quality solutions to meet the needs of a fast-paced and complex operating environment. The Testing Specialist is responsible for:
• Review system requirements and system design documents to create test cases with detailed steps and expected results with a high degree of accuracy.
• May analyze, develop, debug, execute and maintain automated test cases within the testing environment.
• Execute test cases and document actual results, with a high degree of accuracy for system test phase adhering to timelines.
• Assist in defining test data and test environment requirements. Log defects and assist in resolution process as required.
• Provide support to business teams for business testing as required. Build relationships and work collaboratively to identify solutions and resolve variance from product/application specifications.
• Participate in or develop test strategies/plans, traceability matrices and test closure reports, for small to medium complexity projects.
• May provide day-to-day support for test environments, trouble shooting, triaging issues and coordinating resolution with all technology partners.
• Adhere to prescribed testing processes, and identify, assess and address risks. Ensure timely notification of issues/problems and make recommendations for issue/problem resolution.
• Ability to identify opportunities to improve the performance of Technology processes and delivery outcomes. Promote and develop awareness of testing methodologies and standards.
• Support automation and test data management strategies. Adhere to existing processes/standards including testing and project management disciplines, well-defined enterprise technology delivery practices and standards, escalating escalate issues as required.
• Continuously enhance knowledge/expertise in own area and keep current with leading-edge technologies trends/developments.
• May support and maintain virtualized services, components and environments by using Service Virtualization tools to enable functional and non-functional testing. May develop, debug, execute and maintain performance testing scripts using various performance testing tools.
• Prioritize and manage own workload in order to deliver quality results and meet timelines. Support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation and teamwork and ensure timely communication of issues/ points of interest. Participate in knowledge transfer within the team and business units.
• Coach new or less experienced colleagues and act as a reference for the requirements management lifecycle.
• Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance productivity, effectiveness and operational efficiency of the business unit and/or team.
• Provide insight, information and recommendations on industry trends and significant issues. Promote and develop awareness of testing methodologies and standards. Continuously enhance knowledge/expertise in own area and keep current with leading-edge technologies trends. Performs QA testing and may lead/ coordinate basic testing activities.
• Develops and executes test scenarios and scripts. Writes scripts and scenarios per QA methodology. Works collaboratively to identify solutions and resolve problems.
• May assist in developing test strategies and plans.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3 years of prior relevant experience
• Knowledge of commercial banking, cash management, corporate banking, online applications and mobile devices will be helpful
• Knowledge of application lifecycle management (ALM) test tracking/management software helpful
• Knowledge of RoadRunner load and performance testing tools helpful
