What does a great Implementation Consultant, Technical Lead do?
Under the supervision of the Client Implementation Manager the Team Leader, will support and mentor Client Implementation Analysts with the implementation of new and existing clients. Implementation projects will include you partnering with multiple teams within the organization in leading multi-faceted efforts. The Client Implementations lifecycle will include requirements gathering, certification environment setup, the installation of standard functionality, the development of new functionality, testing of internal and client (external) testing to fulfill requirements identified in the implementation work in-take documentation. The nature of each implementation will vary but you will be challenged with leading repeatable processes to support the conversion of various data components and product installations.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
• Ability to demonstrate leadership within a multi-faceted team.
• Expand working knowledge of the financial industry, Fiserv and Investment Services’ portfolio accounting applications and services
• Understand, support and coach the team to adhere to the Investment Services’ standard SDLC (System Development Lifecycle) process for all implementation projects
• Review and understand requirements for project deliverables based on work intake documentation
• Lead multiple client projects, handling tasks/resources, logging issues/risks, providing status updates and participating weekly meetings
• Ability to provide backup support and cross-train with fellow team members
• Function as primary liaison to internal and external clients
• Provide support to the team on complex analysis of business goals and objectives, technologies and the needs of the general business environment
• Ensure the team is accountable for documenting all implementation project deliverables for internal and external clients including the preparation of test scripts and testing plans
• Craft Functional Specification Documents (FSD) in support of data load requirements or custom functionality.
• Assist management with ongoing planning and design of business processes and system improvements
• Provide support to the team on preparing and executing testing and process flows
• Ability to make recommendations on enhancements to support business activities
• Utilize the various applications and resources to resolve complex business issues
• Interact with multiple client groups to provide analytical and technical support in client certification and post-production environment
• Partner with team members to cross-train and share information based on project experiences
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent work experience preferred
• 3+ years of financial service industry or related work experience
• Knowledge of portfolio accounting systems, trading systems, and performance measurement
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:
• Master’s in Business Administration a plus
• Experience with implementation of Portfolio Accounting solutions
• Prior experience in a Senior or Team Leader role
TRAVEL REQUIRED:
• 5% Travel
• 10-15% Weekend availability and support
