Intern - Financial Risk Management (Credit Risk Management)

About the Role:
The Credit Risk Management intern will participate in one or more projects to improve Swiss Re's capabilities to identify, monitor, and report single obligor risk exposures through the following activities:
• Creating ad-hoc risk management tools to help in the analysis of Swiss Re's credit risk to key obligors within the credit portfolio.
• Analysis of credit exposure associated with specific products through which Swiss Re incurs credit risk, and analysis of relevant data extracted and the assistance in generating presentations, which showcase the relevant topic
• Establish processes, which can be both one-off and perennial in order to best leverage information within the credit risk reporting system that will enable the team to better inform senior management of key developments and impact on risk taking activities
About the Team:
Risk Management provides the infrastructure for controlled risk-taking, and reports internally and externally on Swiss Re’s risk-taking activities.
About You:
• In Junior year of an undergraduate degree program working towards a degree in Risk Management, Finance or Insurance;
• Excellent academic performance;
• Strong oral and written communication skills;
• Strong skills in MS – Excel, Word and PowerPoint, including ability to work with large data sets
• Self-motivated, hardworking, analytical and proactive;
• Able to work independently as needed;
• Able to work well with individuals at multiple levels within the organization
