The PSA Business Analyst - Trainer is an implementation generalist that will support project deployments by managing small projects or specific work streams within larger projects. The generalist will provide training and training program support, business consulting from requirements to design, and testing support during software deployments. Generalist works with the business, IT, and the project team to fully understand the business problems and opportunities in the context of the business’ requirements. Generalist will recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals, using Microsoft Dynamics and Assistance PSA from Unit4 as the platform.
Essential Duties:
Project Generalist
• Manages small projects or assigned project work streams in larger projects
• Support the development of training and process materials; deliver training to users of the firm at any level
• Collaborates with project team members to solve implementation issues and business problems
• Contributes to the build and delivery of change management plans; integrating them into training and support channels
• Contributes to the build and delivery of quality and efficiencies into processes and project deliverables
• Develop and support best practices for repeatable training methodologies and standardize support and training tools to develop efficiencies and reduce preparation time, shortening the overall duration of deployment cycles
• Hands-on project team member will develop relationships that integrate with IT and PSA project teams to complete tasks and deliverables
• Will gain PSA certification or equivalent working knowledge of the Assistance PSA product and its potential through training courses and self-education
Business Process and Knowledge Management
• Work with business users, IT, and leaders to improve RSM service delivery through enhancements to the system, business process improvements and standardizing processes and toolkits by applying lessons learned and exploring innovation
• Under general direction of the Project Manager and Program Director, leads analysis activities for business requirements and facilitates the alignment of streamlined processes and system integration
• Manage the backlog report and work with business users and IT Business Analyst to prioritize feature enhancements and report requests
• Support issue resolution by evaluating impacts of defects on the business working with IT to develop plans for resolution
• Lead user groups, consult the business on best practices, and align business needs to the software
Product Support:
• Provide user and product support individually and through collaboration with business and IT resources
• Provide system and process testing during new releases and patches of software
• Execute and complete assigned project tasks to provide quality plans, reports, and other assigned deliverables in a timely way during active projects
• Develop, schedule, and assist with meetings, presentations, and other communications to meet stakeholder and leadership needs specific to deliverable and audience
• Manage and assist with daily and recurring system administration tasks
• Other duties as assigned
Education:
• Associates degree in business, technology or related business field of study required
• Dynamics CRM or equivalent experience preferred
• Assistance PSA or equivalent experience preferred
• Project Management or Business Analyst certification preferred
Experience:
• 3+ years’ experience training, supporting, or designing business solutions required
• Teaching and meeting facilitation required
• Software implementation project experience required
• Business or technology consulting experience preferred
• Operations business process improvement experience preferred
• Change Management experience preferred
Technical/Soft Skills:
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
◦ Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook required
◦ OneNote, Project, Visio, SharePoint preferred
• Effective organizational, facilitation, and time management skills required
• Ability to manage and integrate change into a project or process required
• Self-motivated and effectively manages multiple priorities
Leadership Skills:
• Strong communication skills for differing audiences and situations, including persuasion, facilitation and presentation skills; appropriately translates functional/technical language
• Holds self and others accountable for sharing knowledge and best practices
