Job Purpose
The Senior Talent Management Consultant will play a key role in assessing, developing and implementing human capital strategies and solutions to meet business objectives. The focus is on building sustainable leadership competencies within Jackson at all levels in the organization. The priority will be to develop, design and facilitate programs to grow Jackson’s leadership competencies, developing and preparing the leadership pipeline through learning opportunities, robust succession planning, career planning and coaching.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Works with management to develop and maintain a leadership development strategy to include defining competencies for the organization, assessing and evolving the learning and development platform to support career growth, aligning performance management with business strategy, and developing a coaching, developing, and mentoring culture.
• Designs, develops, implements and assesses talent management strategies, processes, and required governance to increase focus on development, performance, career management, succession planning and retention of top talent.
• Executes the leadership development strategy through a blend of in-person workshops, experiential learning, online seminars, eLearning, performance support tools, assessments, and other approaches and resources.
• Develops and implements select high potential talent programs to support our internal talent pipeline work.
• Partners with functional and organizational leaders to identify skills, competencies and pipeline needs required to meet current and future business needs.
• Develops and executes approaches to build organizational capability through activities such as targeted assignments, experiential learning, coaching, 360 feedback, formal education, and leadership programs.
• Stays abreast of latest developments in management, leadership, and organizational development, to serve as subject matter expert and consultant for critical talent issues.
• Collects, analyzes and maintains data to inform targeted leadership development, high potential development, mentoring, and succession planning.
• Drives succession planning within the organization, focusing on critical roles, developing talent maps and driving development plans and actions.
• Applies a structured talent management and human performance methodology to the assessment, design, development, implementation and measurement of programs and processes, aligned with meeting the Company’s objectives.
• Works with leaders and associates at all levels, as appropriate, with the goal of driving appropriate human capital development solutions.
• Leads and facilitates meetings, focus groups, and other working sessions to help solve difficult problems, align disparate viewpoints, gather data and build capabilities.

Qualifications
Job Responsibilities (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
• Proven ability to assess associate/leader performance needs, ensuring that solutions address the correct root cause, and that the impact to the business is measurable.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Adult Learning Theory, culture, and management and HR practices.
• Proven ability to work with leaders at all levels, as a consultant, resource, coach and mentor.
• Strong understanding of leadership development, and a demonstrated ability to develop and deliver programs for individuals at all levels of the organization.
• Strong facilitation skills, ability to leverage facilitator skill and experience, participant knowledge, and participation to maximize impact.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and processes, organize deliverables and resources, and prioritize details to meet deadlines.
• Ability to operate independently with limited oversight.
• Ability to travel 10-20%.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal and influence skills.
Education and Experience Required
• Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred, with emphasis in HR, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5 years of related talent management, leadership development, and succession planning experience, and experience in the assessment, development, delivery and measurement of training programs required.
• 8 years of human resources experience preferred.
