Reporting to the Director of Talent Acquisition Life & Retirement, the Talent Acquisition Team Lead will lead a team of approximately 8 - 10 remote based Recruiters and Recruiting Coordinators across the country in order to develop and implement recruitment strategies to ensure the Field leadership is positioned to achieve Financial Advisor hiring goals.
Team Leadership:
• In partnership with the Director of Talent Acquisition, works collaboratively to anticipate and overcome obstacles to recruiting the best possible talent into the organization.
• Hiring, coaching and performance management of team and must constantly evaluate and improve recruiting processes that appeal to candidates and to hiring managers.
• Use transparent management skills to successfully build trusting relationships with colleagues.
• Handle background escalations and operational issues related to hiring and onboarding talent.
Client Relationship Management:
• The incumbent will advise the client on market trends, competitor practices and vulnerabilities, workforce planning issues in assigned disciplines or businesses.
• Partner with colleagues across HR and Client Group to achieve desired outcomes.
• Recruit for leadership roles with client organization.
Recruiting Strategy and Project Management:
• Manage headcount reports, vendor utilization, analysis and strategy.
• Responsible for developing and executing national Marketing initiatives and sourcing strategies to ensure we are positioned to meet today’s goals and future goals.
• Lead Recruiting projects that focus on process improvement, Hiring Manager training, marketing, and best practices.
• Contribute to the development of national strategies and implementation plans, specific to recruiting and retention of VALIC Financial Advisors and region support personnel.
• Recruitment marketing projects, social media strategy, and email marketing campaigns.
• Diversity and college recruiting initiatives.
What we are looking for
• 3+ years of People Management experience to including hiring, coaching and performance management. Experience managing a geographically dispersed staff highly preferred.
• 10+ years of corporate recruiting and/or external recruitment experience. Prior experience recruiting Financial Advisors or industry experience required.
• Project management and experience developing and implementing national recruiting strategies highly desired.
• Ability to think critically, incredibly well organized with the ability to learn and adapt quickly to process changes and different technology systems.
• Workday Recruiting ATS experience highly desired.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels in the organization.
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems, identify and analyze trends related to recurring issues, and recommend solutions.
• Demonstrated results orientation and the intensity and drive to achieve excellence in strategy and execution.
• Able to balance competing priorities, as well as strategic and day-to-day service delivery.
• Proven track record and be energetic, forward-thinking, creative, and able to challenge assumptions while providing Talent Acquisition best in class practices.
• Strong industry business acumen and sound judgment, in order to make a contribution to total business performance. Positive attitude and customer service orientation.
• Ability to travel up to 25% as required to manage nationally dispersed staff.
