Position Overview:
Data Management is part of AEGON Asset Management (AAM) Organization. Data Management focuses on ensuring data, is of quality, available as needed, accurate, secure, consistent and auditable. Data Management ensures these principles exist around security master data, risk analytics, price and the creation of quality rules. Data Management is customer focused and strives to provide full transparency and understanding of data.
The Senior Investment Analyst will report to the Data Management Manager and will be responsible for understanding each of the data domains (i.e. Security, Party, Ratings, Benchmark, Analytics, and Pricing). The ideal candidate will be representing Data Management across projects and new products. This role will act as a project and production liaison between Data Management customers and data domain Points of Contact. The Analyst will utilize their business analysis and technical skills to implement new processes, enhance current ones and also complete specific daily processes within the Data Management team as needed.
Responsibilities:
• Represent Data Management on current processes.
• Manage new processes/new products/data updates.
• Liaison between production teams and management for projects or products.
• Complete thorough research on behalf of Data Management and propose appropriate solutions.
• Understand and be able to speak to multiple domains of data (i.e. Security, Party, Ratings, Benchmark, Analytics, and Pricing).
• Learn and understand daily production at a high level of accuracy; including but not limited to tasks such as Quality Exception Reviews.
• Perform business analysis to determine best practices within daily production/projects.
• Continuous improvement mindset, improving data quality with a focus on customer service.
• Participate and set high expectations of self and team on daily production and projects.
• Provide excellent customer service to all clients and internal customers.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related fields.
• 5+ years of related experience in financial services industry or technical analysis
• Very strong customer service skills
• Demonstrated ability to anticipate and proactively address underlying customer needs to ensure positive outcomes for our clients.
• Developed analytical, complex problem recognition and resolution, organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally with a variety of internal and external parties.
• Ability to independently prioritize and work on multiple assignments and changing priorities.
• Experience with Aladdin required
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Markit EDM
• Strong Excel skills
• CFA Level 1 passed
Job and compensation levels depend upon an applicant’s qualifications including the extent of his/her relevant experience and other job related factors and will be determined by hiring supervisors/managers and HR.
