Detailed Description
Review and validate models and quantitative frameworks spanning credit, interest rate, market risk, economic capital or capital market valuation, and other models as the need develops for our banking operations. Research and formulate potential remediation plans for any outstanding or potentially critical problems concerning strategy development, implementation, and usage of models. Provide critical analysis for models reviewed and validated by internal and external parties. Communicate to quantitative, regulatory, and business audiences through presentations describing the results of analysis and be able to recommend remediation strategies to address findings. Maintain independent model review and validation processes, while adhering to business and regulatory guidelines including SR 11-7 model risk management standards. Identify modeling gaps, errors, and oversights and recommend methods to address issues and analyze emerging model risk issues impacting the organization and communicate issues to model developers, senior management, and appropriate risk committees. May also mentor and supervise junior colleagues as needed.
Job Requirements
• Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, or a related quantitative field.
• Expertise as demonstrated by six months experience or six hours of graduate credits in each of the following areas:
◦ 1. Quantitative and/or Statistical modeling.
◦ 2. Model diagnostics.
◦ 3. Error analysis.
◦ 4. Functional programming using SAS, R, or Python.
