POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director of Integrated Solutions is a position tasked with enabling Wealth Management Advisors to provide objective and comprehensive advice across the full financial spectrum aligned with their clients’ long-term interests. Successful Integrated Solutions Directors at TIAA understand clients’ unique financial objectives identified through the consultative sales process led by Financial Advisors. Through one-on-one coaching with advisors as well as collaborative interaction with clients, Integrated Solutions Directors will deliver comprehensive financial solutions. Solutions and services include Managed Solutions (managed accounts, Private Asset Management, Trust Services), Insured Solutions (proprietary and non-proprietary annuities, life insurance, and long term care), TIAA Direct, and TIAA Charitable.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Coaches and motivates Advisors and exceed the territories' integrated solutions forecasts for meeting the comprehensive needs of clients.
• Educates Advisors on distribution of comprehensive, or total solutions within the consultative sales process model
• Responsible for the adoption of integrated approach through Consultative Sales Process model
• Partners with Individual Advisory Services Sales Coach team addressing Advisor skill set depth and readiness to execute within an integrated advice model
• Drives adoption across Managed Accounts, Private Asset Management Services, Life Insurance, proprietary and non-proprietary Annuities, Long Term Care and TIAA Direct Banking.
• Collaborates with Individual Advisory Services (IAS) Directors ensuring consistent messaging, and implementation of integrated solutions
• Builds and maintains close relationships with Advisory and CRC teams
• Responsible for participation in Advisory business planning and comprehensive communication in assigned Advisory territory
• Travels within territory to provide coaching and guidance to meet scorecard metrics
• Responsible for maintaining pipeline, activities through CRM
• Delivers integrated solutions strategies in conjunction with appropriate education addressing implementation resources available to the field
• Advocates and is responsible for the client experience across solutions
• Responsible for expert-level understanding of products and investments in scope for this role
• Responsible for increasing integrated solution adoption, per scorecard metrics, among Advisors in assigned territory
• Provides key input and feedback towards product development and distribution
• Identifies productivity increases, best practices and shares with team to scale successes
• Engages with TIAA's broad range of resources - cultivates partnerships, including estate planning, portfolio management and insurance planning
• Corresponds with Endowments and Foundations Directors on institutional opportunities and charitable planning strategies
• Develops and maintains a good understanding of TIAA's competitors within the territory and addresses response strategies
• Incorporates TIAA's overall strategy and approach while developing tactical plans and objectives for the territory
• Participates as keynote speaker at client seminars
• Attends client meetings with Financial Advisors to deliver expert level knowledge on solutions and the benefits of integration
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications:
• Must be series 7, 66, 63 and/or 65
• Applicable state insurance life and health licensing is required
• Completion of applicable training for appointment by proprietary and non-proprietary solution providers
• Bachelor's degree
Desired Qualifications:
• Industry designations such as Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), Chartered Mutual Fund Consultant (CMFC) are also preferred
• Proven track record generating sales and managing relationships with high net worth clients ($500k - $2M ), including broad technical skills in retirement products, general investment matters and applicable tax and estate planning issues
• Demonstrated experience understanding a client's unique financial situation, providing appropriate advice and solutions, and exhibiting financial leadership.
• Interpersonal skills and client face-to-face relationship building skills
• Knowledge of financial planning concepts including broad knowledge of TIAA's products and services
• Thorough knowledge of the retirement industry including ERISA regulations, compliance and regulatory matters
