Purpose of Job
We are currently seeking talented Director, Business Risk & Controls - Data & Analytics for our San Antonio, TX facility.
Leads sales and service governance program to support a strong corporate culture of compliance and effectively mitigate business risk. This role is responsible for ensuring effective processes, controls and supervisory procedures are in place to identify, monitor and effectively address sales and service behaviors and practices consistent with established policies, standards, and applicable laws and regulations.
Job Requirements
• Establishes a data driven, integrated and well documented enterprise sales and service governance program that includes policies, procedures and processes for monitoring, performing supervisory reviews, resolution tracking, evaluating sales practices/behaviors and escalation.
• Manages integrated surveillance system and artificial intelligence to identify, categorize and issue automated alerts for anomalies or concerning patterns or sales behaviors (e.g. dormant accounts, zero balance accounts, increases in new accounts, sales performance, etc.).
• Maintains robust reporting and executive summaries related to the sales and service activities (e.g. surveys, complaints, misconduct etc.).
• Advocates and influences across organizational levels as a thought leader for sales and service governance in an environment of increasing third party utilization and legal/regulatory scrutiny.
• Establishes and manages regular forum(s) with leaders and key stakeholders to conduct a horizontal review sales practices, controls, data, trends, and opportunities to facilitate transparency into sales practices/behaviors and address any risk escalations.
• Governs a well-balanced customer needs-based sales approach based upon customer and performance insights while maintaining superior service and compliance.
• All other sales and service governance duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Risk Management, Business, Finance or related field of study OR 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
• 8 or more years of relevant operations experience in a relevant functional area to include financial services, insurance, banking, audit, public accounting, information technology, or related functional area OR
• 8 or more years of experience in a quantitative discipline relevant to financial risk management.
• 3 or more years of leadership or managerial experience.
• Expert knowledge of relevant regulatory compliance, industry regulations and regulatory data sources required.

Preferred
• Bachelors, Master's or PhD in a quantitative discipline.
• 8 or more years quantitative & qualitative analysis experience.
• 8 or more years of risk related analytics and reporting experience.
• Operational and regulatory risk experience in the financial services industry.
• Extensive experience influencing large scale/significant business decisions.
• Established thought leader in the Data & Analytics community.
***Selected candidates will attend and complete the Management Development School program in San Antonio, TX, during their first six months in position.***
