The Role:
Reporting to the Business Analytics Lead, the Portfolio Data Analyst will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, troubleshooting, maintaining and developing applications used to prepare performance returns, attribution reports, risk metrics, estimated account revenue and other portfolio performance and risk measurement reports. This is largely an operations role supporting BAU processing for daily, month end and quarterly processing cycles. The incumbent will support to the data aggregation team by managing and monitoring system workflows and developing analytical applications using Excel and SQL queries. Additionally the individual in this role will be responsible for account data quality assurance checks and maintaining data attributes and mapping tables. The Portfolio Data Analyst will also help the Performance Reporting team to determine and implement automated or operational routines to facilitate, streamline and enhance data management and reporting productivity
Responsibilities:
• Work closely with performance and risk analysts and report developers to research and review data quality and confirm data accuracy
• Coordinate with affiliate operations and technology teams on data requirements, data integrity issues, and data validation
• Work as part of a team on projects and support all aspects of the project lifecycle including: research, analysis, requirements, development and testing
• Collaborate with our business partners to facilitate data interchange
• Manage and monitor inbound data files from the affiliates
• Manage and monitor outbound feeds to the team’s Eagle PACE repository
• Liaise with the affiliates to address data quality issues
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
• BA/BS Degree
• 2+ years working in Asset Management or related financial services company
• Experience using Microsoft SQL and Oracle advanced queries
• High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• BA/BS and/or Advanced Degrees
• 3-5 years of experience in a data integration environment
• Experience interacting with internal and external data providers clients
