Job Description Summary
The analyst will be a critical member of the team responsible for:
• Leading the Bank of the West coordination with the BNP Paribas US Intermediate Holding Company (IHC)
• Ensuring oversight of the Bank’s Transformation activities related to the Bank’s key transversal topics on support functions and business alignments
The analyst role is responsible for planning and performing research, financial modeling and data analytics to support the team’s strategic and development projects, and will include coordination with internal and IHC business and support function partners. The analyst role also participates in the review of key strategic initiatives and businesses cases for major projects and helps with the design of governance of these activities.
Essential Job Functions
• Conduct competitor and industry research using public and/or 3rd party data
• Retrieve information internally from existing reports or directly from data management systems, including Oracle Hyperion
• Develop and manage periodic reporting of business performance metrics
• Build financial models related to product and customer segment economics using MS Excel
• Perform analysis of large data sets in MS Excel
• Review and analyze competitor financial statements
• Synthesize information into slides that will be used for senior management presentations; create presentation drafts
• Interact on initiatives with various members of Business Lines and Support
• Assist with general project planning including developing project timelines, meeting agendas and status tracking reports

Qualifications
Required Experience
• 2-3 Years in Product Management, Project Management, Corporate Finance, FP&A, Corporate Development, Investment Banking, Private Equity or other finance related role
• 1+ Years in Banking or Other Financial Services preferred
• Experience in Consumer Finance a plus
Field of Experience
• Strong work ethic that results in consistent, high-quality performance
• Ability to self-motivate and work under pressure and with tight deadlines; a desire to work independently in a relatively unstructured environment
• Curiosity, desire to learn, and interest in working as part of a small team
• Interest in Banking and developing innovative products
• Data collection, research and quantitative skills (esp. finance, accounting, statistics)
• Moderate-level financial modeling, forecasting and financial report development skills
• Knowledge of accounting and financial concepts, in particular as it pertains to banks and consumer finance products
• Experience reading and analyzing financial statements, preferably financial institutions
• Ability to summarize complex information into simple-to-understand slides in a presentation
• Strong verbal and written skills, and intermediate presentation skills
• Intermediate-level ability with MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word; experience with statistical analysis packages (e.g., S-Plus, Matlab) a plus
• Intermediate-level ability retrieving/accessing information from a management financial reporting system such as Oracle Hyperion a strong plus
