Description
The Business Banking Small Business Administration(SBA) Credit Products Manager will be primarily responsible for ensuring that Credit Origination activities, specific to the Business Banking Division SBA business, are driven by consistent standards of Client Selection.
Primary responsibilities include:
• Act as a liaison between the RM Sales Teams and the SBA Underwriters and Portfolio Managers; interact with SBA Specialists, Relationship Managers, SBA Underwriters and Portfolio Managers to produce positive and effective end-to-end credit experience for our SBA clients
• Manage the intersection of credit policy and SBA SOP, working to find the best solution for the client and the bank
• Once an SBA Specialist and RM have defined an opportunity, they will preview with the SBA CPM to assess the credit worthiness of the deals. On opportunities that the CPM supports, the CPM will review language contained in the term sheet to assure compliance to the SBA program. After client acceptance of a proposal the CPM works in tandem with the SBA underwriting team and RM to coordinate all contact with the client during the underwriting and portfolio review process.The CPM will be involved in all aspects of the Credit process: including reviewing borrower analysis, screening loan requests, review of eligibility, credit structuring, and post-approval review
• Participate in the training of sales colleagues about our business model for SBA.The CPM will be accountable for driving new loan growth and quality.
• Drive client selection in accordance with the Business Line's credit risk strategy for SBA and to ensure an appropriate balance of risk and reward.
Qualifications
Required Skills/Experience:
·Strong credit analytical skills and experience within the SBA segment.
·SBA Eligibility and Credit Policy knowledge,
·Customer management strategies
·Exceptional, coaching, training and negotiating skills.
·Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint
·Demonstrated presentation skills
·Excellent influencing, consulting, organizational and leadership skills
·Excellent interpersonal and verbal, written and presentation communication skills
·Ability to influence and maneuver through appropriate formal and informal organization channels
·Ability to constructively manage and handle conflict
Work Experience
Commercial Credit Training and/or Business Banking credit analysis experience with revenues up to $25MM.Direct experience of at least 5 years within an SBA business development or Underwriting team strongly preferred.
Hours & Work Schedule
Hours per Week: 40
Work Schedule: M-F, 9-5
