Job Description Summary
Collaborate with business line leaders to define, manage and execute marketing strategies that contribute to Transamerica’s Retirement Plan business and sales objectives. Design strategies and plans to drive growth through proactive marketing to advisors, intermediaries, and existing plan sponsors.
Responsibilities
• Serve as a clear point of liaison into Marketing for the Retirement Plan Distribution Channel.
• Design and execute a single, coherent, multi-channel marketing plan as agreed upon with the Channel Marketing Director and line of business leadership.
• Work with the Channel Marketing Director and leadership in designated sales channels to develop channel-specific strategies within the context of the marketing plan that produce coordinated, efficient and measurable campaigns designed to achieve business objectives.
• Monitor and measure the effectiveness of the marketing plan with defined KPI’s; provide executive summary recommendations on next-step areas of refinement and improvement.
• Contribute to the achievement of targets for client acquisition, consolidation, and retention.
• Develop channel and relationship marketing strategies, integrating brand promise in designated sales channels.
• Collaborate with internal marketing partners to leverage applicable resources in channel-specific campaigns and activities.
• Make recommendations to allocate budget and resources to marketing programs in support of line of business objectives.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Five years of channel/field marketing experience.
• Experience developing, executing and measuring strategic marketing plans, demand generation activities, campaign strategies, and associated tactics.
• Strong understanding of P&L and financial analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
• MBA/advanced degree
• Knowledge of retirement plan business, including working with plan sponsors, advisors and intermediaries.
• Financial services and/or retirement plan marketing experience.
• Experience with advisor/intermediary channel marketing.
