As a Large Ticket Collections Specialist, you will be expected to execute adequate and timely collection activities in order to minimize risk costs and optimize returns.
Day to Day:
• Identify and investigate payment arrears in the portfolio and code debtor appropriately in order to determine following collection process steps
• Communicate with debtors by telephone and in writing
• Liaise with internal departments and external partners during collection and recovery process
• Manage debtors and arrears process
• Continue all necessary actions to collect payments and/or terminate accounts
• Record debtor and arrears history in order to ensure a complete file as a sound basis for decision making during collection and recovery
• Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred
• 4-8 years of collections, customer service, and/or sales experience preferred
• Experience & knowledge in the leasing & finance sector is a plus
• Strong negotiation skills
• Customer focused
• Ability to multi-task and resolve complex administrative issues including payment reconciliations
• Ability to handle customer’s with multiple schedules or agreements
• A team player with excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent professional business writing skills
• Quality driven and results oriented
• Ability to work in a very fast-paced environment and adapt to situations
• Two working days per year volunteering for a local charity
