Job Description
This is a mission-critical role within the Discover Card Fraud Strategy Management team. Responsibilities include driving improvements in authentication processes across multiple channels and platforms; creating fraud detection strategies and analytics; and developing fraud operation strategies by improving customer experience, reducing customer call backs, completing the fraud setup effectively, decreasing defects and improving operational efficiencies.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement best-in-class authentication processes and procedures across card channels and platforms
• Develop and implement other fraud detection strategies
• Work closely with Business Technology, Decision Management and Infrastructure teams to prioritize and drive projects that will enhance authentication processes
• Work closely and support a broad range of business partners to ensure best-in-class fraud prevention practices – both in terms of customer experience and fraud prevention
• Identify and explore new approaches and data sources to support improvements to existing and new programs/products.
• Establish and build strong effective working relationships with a range of business partners, particularly operations, Discover Network and other Credit Risk Management partners.
• Promote a risk-aware culture; ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes.
Skills
Requirements:
• The successful candidate will have extensive experience with fraud prevention tools, processes, and procedures in the financial industry. This experience will preferably include experience managing authentication processes. A proven track record of excellent communication, relationship building and analytical skills are also required.
Required:
• 5+ years managing fraud prevention processes and policies in the financial industry
• Extensive experience with authentication tools, processes, and procedures
• Results orientated with energy, drive, commitment, and resilience to excel in a collaborative and open business environment
• Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills
• 3 years of SAS skills, preferably in multiple environments
• Proficient in use of MS Office
• Bachelors Degree in a relevant field required. M.S. degree is preferred.
