Job Description Summary:
Works in a specific geographic market and selected vertical markets. Primarily involved as an outside sales person. Provides strategic guidance for individual sales team with a goal of achieving budgeted group room revenues.
Job Description:
QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING & WORK EXPERIENCE
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum (2) two years of college, degree desirable.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Hotel sales or related industry experience preferred.
• Aggressive, outgoing and self-motivating individual with a pleasant and positive personality.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Work with the wedding catering managers on wedding groups of 10+ rooms to manage the rooms portion of the wedding block.
• Manage the room blocks for all other social groups such as family reunions, anniversaries and birthday celebrations Determine rates and develop contracts for all Social room business
• Manage room blocks and cut-off dates
• Maintain account information in Delphi Solicit local market for social business Rework and maintain old account files and solicit new accounts.
• Respond to all correspondence from assigned areas and trace dates for reworking and follow up.
• Set-up site inspections and follow through.
• Perform general office duties and assist other personnel, as required.
• Maintain a positive working relationship with departments interacting with groups.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and make recommendations of changes, which would affect operations.
• Maintain accurate forecast and recap information.
• Occasional weekends and evenings based on demand.
• Meet sales and activity goals as outlined by the Director of Sales and Marketing on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
• Perform other related duties as requested by the Director of Sales & Marketing.
• Practice safety standards and report unsafe conditions to the Director of Sales & Marketing.

• Well lit with good ventilation.
