The experienced recruiting function is comprised of individuals responsible for finding the best in demand talent to help position our company for a new era of growth and higher levels of performance. Our recruiting model focuses on understanding both local and geographical markets, and serving as a subject matter expert and a valued business partner.
Primary Purpose of Position:
Responsible for developing and leading recruitment channel marketing and sourcing activities, including needs analysis; full-cycle recruitment for an assigned business area; creating and advancing OA’s recruitment branding activities, all while emphasizing a positive candidate and stakeholder experience throughout the process. Serving as a trusted talent acquisition advisor the successful candidate with partner with Human Resources and Business Leaders, providing frequent and timely interaction and communication to all stakeholders to ensure organizational talent and staffing needs are met.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Partner with Human Resources and business leaders in the identification of staffing needs and development of staffing strategies.
• Develop/build and manage working business relationships with key business leaders, and HR team through consultation and appropriate communication. Conduct and attend regular meetings to review recruiting strategies, challenges, initiatives and changes in the business. Build credibility and rapport by understanding organization/business area and market. Share and collaborate with the hiring leaders and HR about market trends and data.
• Lead and develop the TA team recruitment strategy, branding initiatives and benchmark best practices.
• Manage full-cycle recruiting process for assigned business areas and key positions. Conduct recruitment strategy meeting with hiring manager to understand best culture and skill/competency fit for department before recruitment begins. Source and identify qualified applicants through internal option identification, job postings, niche platforms, recruitment marketing initiatives, social networking and partnership outreach. Complete initial evaluation of candidates’ skills and experiences to ensure position requirements are met; present most qualified candidates to hiring manager with recommendation for interviews.
• Collaborate with hiring manager on final hiring decision and provide salary recommendations.
• Present and negotiate verbal/written employment offer(s) to perspective hire.
• Initiate pre-employment screening (background, credit, and references) on selected candidates.
• Host or participate in outreach and recruitment events.
• Additional project work as needed.
Requirements
• Proven work experience as a Talent Acquisition professional providing consultation and targeted recruitment strategies to support full-cycle recruitment
• Knowledge and demonstrated experience leading strategic recruitment initiatives with proven track record using creative sourcing tactics and evaluation techniques used to proactively attract and build candidate pipelines
• Experience conducting candidate assessments and interviews utilizing a variety of interviewing tools and techniques
• Experience and understanding of staffing metrics
• Proven track record of building strong, mutually respectful relationships with candidates, business partners and hiring managers
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced and fluid environment
• Solid experience with job boards, resume databases and applicant tracking systems
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate well at all levels and effectively manage stakeholder expectations
• Must possess strong decision making skills with ability to lead and influence
• Experience with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Knowledge of state and federal employment law
Education and/or Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
• PHR/SPHR Certification is a plus.
