Job Title: Treasury Management Sales Officer
Organizational Location: Business Development Team
Reports To: Treasury Management Sales Manager
Working Conditions: Normal, no adverse or hazardous conditions
Job Group Category: Exempt
Primary Purpose:
This position will develop and manage a portfolio of business for Treasury Management products and services.. Will work closely with local bankers to expand the depository sides of their relationships by going on joint calls on clients and prospects and putting together depository and treasury management proposals.
Principal Duties, Abilities and Responsibilities:
• Develop new business with a designated portfolio of small/middle/large market prospects and clients
• Manage a growing portfolio of treasury management clients
• Call on treasury management customers/prospects with/without account officer
• Understand the client's business environments, strategies, and industry to provide the best solution for their situation
• Provide technical and operations support and product training to customers
• Manage sales process and complete/present proposals, request for proposals, pro formas, and analysis for customers and prospects
• Collect competitive product and pricing information
• Work closely with in market Treasury Management Liaisons
• Present internal treasury management awareness sessions as assigned in annual review
• Attend and participate in officers meetings throughout designated territory.
• Create and maintain a loyal consultant role in customer/prospects/employees
• Continually increase product knowledge of treasury management products and services as they evolve
• Possess a positive, proactive and energetic attitude
• Comply with all applicable procedures and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned
Job Specifications/Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university,
• 4 - 6 years of TM experience or the equivalent of education and professional TM experience
• Requires sales skills and proficient understanding of bank operations and regulations
• Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Power Point)
• Must possess strong communication and presentation skills (written and oral)
• Ability to travel, including overnight
• Capability to interact professionally with all levels of personnel using diplomacy
• Proven track record in customer development and retention
• Excellent organizational and negotiation skills
