Job Description
The Acquisition & Engagement (AE) Team of Allstate Roadside Services (ARS) drives growth and sustainability of the world’s first service crowd sourcing network for rescuing stranded drivers, Good Hands Rescue Network (GHRN). The AE team finds and engages independent contractors (rescuers) who love to help people with roadside emergencies such as flat tires and dead batteries. The team develops, executes, and evolves growth marketing strategy and practices to source, onboard, activate, engage, and retain rescuers while developing a strategic growth platform for future services.
The Acquisition & Engagement Director leads the vision, strategy, prioritization, and execution of GHRN growth marketing; manages the AE team to develop, execute, and evolve growth marketing strategy and practices; contributes to GHRN and ARS strategy and execution as a key business leader; and works cross-functionally with other leaders in ARS and the Allstate enterprise to enable effective collaboration, promote best practices, and achieve shared objectives.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop long-term growth marketing strategy, priorities, and roadmap with executive leaders and lead ongoing evolution of the rescuer value proposition
• Build and lead the AE team and establish practices and processes to continue scaling and evolving the platform
• Oversee cross-functional collaboration with operations, technology, and analytics areas to build and evolve capabilities using advanced technology and data science to achieve goals for customer experience, rescuer experience, efficiency, and growth
• Oversee use of agile, data-driven experimentation and build-measure-learn cycles to continually improve growth marketing competencies and outcomes
• Lead rescuer communication strategy and oversee messaging and planning
• Work with other leaders to establish and achieve shared objectives for rescuer acquisition, engagement, and retention and overall network performance and growth
• Work with other leaders to drive business strategy by providing expertise and innovative thinking to grow the value proposition for rescuers and other service providers in ways that also improve value propositions for customers, partners (clients), employees, and the business
• Participate in the GHRN leadership team, regularly sharing observations and ideas and contributing to the evolution of business strategy and practices
• Promote a culture of high performance, collaboration, learning, and skillful innovation and evolution
• Oversee team planning and budget
• Ensure team members receive timely and appropriate training and development
• Establish and monitor team and individual performance and development goals, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, conduct annual performance appraisals, and administer salary adjustments
Job Qualifications
• 8-12 years in marketing leadership with an entrepreneurial approach
• BS or BA with analytical-quantitative focus preferred
• Demonstrated success in growth marketing for a crowdsourcing business preferred
• In-depth expertise in data-driven growth marketing and analytics (omnichannel acquisition, engagement, retention) and digital marketing communications
• Demonstrated success in leading continuous improvement of user funnel and lifecycle metrics including conversion rates, acquisition cost, and retention
• Mastery of data analysis with Excel and analytics tools (Tableau or similar)
• Mastery of industry trends and best practices related to growth marketing
• Demonstrated ability to craft communications and oversee communications design and development for various types of audiences, channels, media, and styles
• Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and initiatives with varied stakeholder goals and tradeoffs
• Advanced project leadership and organizational skills
• Strong in-person presentation skills and ability to communicate with all types of audiences including service providers (rescuers) and senior executives
