We are hiring a Research Analyst within our Business Information Services department.
Responsibilities in your area will include:
• Translate business requirements: Translate high level business goals into the tasks and technical specifications needed to accomplish the goal
• Query various data sources: Acquire data from Data Warehouse, Applications, Vendor files, and other data sources to gather the necessary information
• Ad hoc data analysis: Perform data analysis to solve business problems and drive better decisions
• Data Integrity: Actively monitor outputs for accuracy and reasonableness. Work with IT to ensure quality data sources are established and maintained
• Communicate output: Summarize and communicate the outputs based on the requirements and purpose of the request
• Reporting: Identify the need for new data and recurring reports to measure the performance of business processes based on ad-hoc findings

• Quickly learn the data environment and business processes and objectives so you may be able to:
◦ Contribute to customer requirements
◦ Quickly and accurately extract and summarize data
◦ Summarize the findings relative to the purpose of the request
• Be self-motivated and able to perform with minimal supervision
• Remain compliant with our policies, processes and legal guidelines
• Work onsite at the required Credit Acceptance work location
Position Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher (Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics, etc. - preferred) OR equivalent experience
• 2+ years’ of experience in a Data Analyst or Business Intelligence role
• 2+ years’ professional experience with SAS, SQL, R or another statistical programming language (SAS/SQL preferred)
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Experience achieving objectives with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications:
• 1+ years’ experience in auto lending analytics
