Responsibilities:
Principal Financial Group is currently seeking top talent for a Sr. Administrative Assistant opportunity in our Des Moines, IA office. This is an opportunity to work closely with and support our dynamic HR teams. In this role, the qualified individual will primarily support an HR leader as well as their teams by providing a wide range of general administrative support. Responsibilities include:
• Strategic calendar management for the HR leader as well as their staff.
• Providing administrative support to the teams including meeting planning as well as ad hoc needs.
• Partner closely with other HR Administrative Assistants as well as associates within the business units on requests.
• Maintaining various department processes including the ordering of supplies, keeping files organized and up to date as well as other miscellaneous department needs.
Qualifications:
• Requires high school education or equivalent and 4-6 years of related administrative assistant experience.
• Advanced Excel skills required as well as the ability to effectively multi-task.
• Must have excellent grammar, spelling, word processing and intermediate math skills.
• Position requires tact, ability to maintain confidentiality and good interpersonal skills.
• A high level of knowledge of company and department policies and procedures preferred but not required.
• Must be able to use advanced word processing and spreadsheet software.
