POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will identify, develop, implement and maintain strategies related to support of institutional CRA qualified community development objectives. Maintain relationships within the Bank’s CRA assessment area focused upon the creation of regulatory qualified community development (CRA) lending, service and investment opportunities commensurate with institutional community investment objectives. Maintain a significant working relationship with designated line of business management to coordinate opportunities and initiatives intended to support First Midwest’s CRA compliance objectives. The position will have regular contact with community leaders, government officials, First Midwest regional line of business management and Compliance staff.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Identify, recommend and maintain processes including assistance in deployment of measurable community development strategies with line of business management in response to institutional CRA compliance objectives
• Participate in the development of annual institutional CRA community development performance objectives
• Leverage and manage processes related to deployment of institutional and external community development resources / services for accomplishment of CRA objectives and in support of community financial need
• Develop and maintain external community development relationships through community leaders, developmental organizations, governmental officials and other centers of community influence for identification of community financial needs and to leverage institutional CRA community development process
• Coordinate with line of business management to ensure external community development program presentation and results reporting is maintained in accordance to institutional standards and procedure
• Assist in development and process related to line of business community development products and services for creating solutions in support of community financial need and support of institutional CRA and Fair Lending objectives
• Participate in institutional community development capital investment activities including credit approval, legal review, funding and portfolio management processes
• Serve as a resource to institutional line of business management related to qualified CRA community development activity
• Management of community development staff in relationship to departmental procedures, compliance process, departmental objectives, client relationships and corporate policy
• Represent First Midwest within public / community / neighborhood development initiatives and functions
• Maintaining contemporary understanding of institutional financial products, services, policies and line of business structure
• Maintain contemporary awareness of community development principal and best practices as related to CRA compliance, Safety and Soundness and Fair and Responsible Banking principals
• Provide activity reporting related to community development activities in support of compliance process and to First Midwest’s CRA Committee as required

CRA Analyst I
Requirements
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 7 to 10 years banking experience related to Retail, Small Business and Commercial lending as aligned with regulatory defined community development qualification
• Experience with banking, credit, and finance policy as related to CRA defined community development products and services desired
• Proven experience with CRA and Fair Lending compliance practices
• Established community development relationships with proven history of effective interaction and results as related to favorable CRA compliance
• Experience with processes related to identification, development and implementation of community development strategy in collaboration with line of business management as related to CRA and Fair Lending compliance
• Minimum 3 years management experience related to personnel and banking process
• Knowledge of contemporary community and economic development principals as related to CRA compliance
• Proven ability to work independently and achieve measurable results
• Excellent written and oral communications skills, including previous experience giving effective presentations
• The ability and flexibility to travel throughout the Bank’s assessment area geography, as needed
