Under the direction of the Digital Marketing Director, the ideal candidate will provide creative and data driven direction for the email marketing program including strategy, execution and management of multiple email marketing programs. Programs include, but are not limited to, onboarding, prospecting and cross sell email programs, as well as one off promotional and information emails. This position requires a keen understanding of data automation, personalized and dynamic creative content, audience segmentation, insights and data measurements (and a critical and questioning attitude towards results and trends) and advanced problem solving skills. A sharp dedication to accuracy of data quality is required, as well as the ability to create and execute data automations within a variety of systems. Strict compliance to industry regulations in audience targeting and legal disclosure in association with the compliance and legal departments are required, including but not limited to CAN-SPAM. Prior experience in the implementation and integration of new ESP and marketing technology (MRM/MCCM) platforms preferred. Basic ability to use HTML to create email templates required.
Candidates should be highly organized and detail oriented while being able to prioritize and manage multiple projects. Strong project management skills, excellent verbal and written communications skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with creative, technical, operational and digital partners are required. A personality that can adapt to working cross-functionally with creative and technical teams is a must. This is a fast-paced, high volume environment, so the ability to adapt and seek appropriate resources independently is crucial, while still maintaining an ultimately customer-focused attitude.
COMPLIANCE STATEMENT
Operates in full compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as applicable regulations and laws, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering requirements. Responsible to report any procedure or process that doesn’t meet regulatory requirements including fraud, whether suspected or confirmed, to management. This reporting can be done directly to any member of management, including Human Resources or Corporate Security, or can be reported through Associated’s anonymous Ethics Hotline.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience marketing, communications or related field
Preferred Education: Master's Degree
Required Experience: 4 years of marketing communications experience
3 years of Email, Digital Marketing or related experience
SQL and basic Adobe Photoshop skills
Preferred Experience
Developer – JavaScript/AMPscript for Salesforce/Silverpop
OTHER SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Experience with Automated or Triggered emails
• In-depth knowledge of email marketing best practices including design, deliverability and CAN-SPAM
• Experience with large-scale ESP and marketing automation technology.
• Hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or other high-level ESPs preferred.
• Basic understanding of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) guidelines
• Familiarity with principles of database marketing segmentation preferred
• Financial Services, B2B and Retail experience preferred
• 1+ years of Proficient Web Analytics experience with Google analytics
