Description
This job is responsible for data mining and trending performance scores and high impact errors across all clients and Operations sites. Information gathered is utilized for to conduct root cause analysis, assess risk based on data gathered and serve as an advisor to identify and mitigate risk while increasing performance for the business, our clients, and their borrowers.
The Analyst will help to design, support, and monitor business risk indicators through statistical data driven techniques to provide directional insight for audit focus, and to act as liaison with business partner to recommend remediation and ongoing monitoring of remediation plan.
• Data gathering, Analysis & Reporting (70%)
◦ Design, develop approach, and monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRI’s), to include but not limited to Regulatory/Compliance items, to determine high risk trends by client;
◦ Conduct root cause analysis based on trends identified and communicate with SQM Leadership, Operations Leadership, and business partner to determine actions needed to remediate and mitigate risk;
◦ Review results from business partner and/or client related to root cause conducted and determine accuracy of information provided and determine if disputes should be submitted;
◦ Facilitate, design and testing of existing or new reports as required by Leadership;
◦ Provide monthly reporting to Leadership based on quantifiable results
• Process Improvement (20%)
◦ Ability to create process maps and identify gaps-while working with process SME’s to resolve;
◦ Ability to influence and drive change utilizing data gathered
◦ Act as liaison with business partner to determine suggestions and recommendations of root cause possibilities
◦ Independently work with technology teams to implement changes in support of auditing initiatives
• Strategic initiative support and relationship building (10%)
◦ Support strategic initiatives led by Leadership within SQM. This may include reporting and metric development and/or organizational initiatives related to a world class quality environment;
◦ Develop operational partnerships to enable data collection for business risk indicators and subsequent remediation
Qualifications
• Qualifications/Requirements:
• Five years utilizing data analysis and improvement tools
• Five years Operational insurance experience
• Two years interpreting and documenting workflow processes
• Two years working across enterprise/business initiatives
• Two years proven track record in influencing and driving change
• Root cause analysis experience, training and/or certification
Environment/Physical Demands: This position requires incumbents to regularly sit at a desk and operate standard office equipment such as a computer and phone. Employee is occasionally required to stand and walk, lift, carry and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to talk and hear. Required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls. Preferred Experience, Skills, and Knowledge
• Bachelor’s degree
• Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
• Proven ability to drive quantifiable business results
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrated through past experience and results
• Foundational understanding of Minitab, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Tableau
• Proven strategic thinking/planning abilities
• Proven track record in reporting, analysis or data management role
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks
• Demonstrated ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and translate high-level information into details
• Ability to convey relevant analysis to support the business
• Ability to facilitate meetings and conduct debrief sessions
• Flexibility and ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
• Continuously seeks opportunities for professional development and apply new knowledge to current work
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions

• Experience with the following software packages:

◦ Advanced Word, including creation and maintenance of macros and templates
◦ Tableau or Power BI
