Job Description
ABOUT THE JOB
• Work with Corporate & Investment bankers on M&A, strategic corporate finance, and capital raising transactions
• Generate ideas and analytical materials in support of client meetings
• Lead due diligence and other meetings with client management; design and prepare key transaction materials including valuation analyses, offering memoranda, and management presentations
• Perform financial modeling and valuation analyses on public and private companies: comparable company analysis, precedent transaction analysis, leveraged buy-out analysis and discounted cash flow analysis
• Develop marketing materials for topics such as company positioning, financing alternatives, and M&A/Strategic alternatives
• Associates within KeyBanc Capital Markets enjoy a unique developmental opportunity, as junior bankers have the opportunity for far greater responsibility and recognition than at other investment banks
Required Qualifications:
• MBA and at least one year of M&A experience or Undergraduate Degree in Business (Accounting, Finance, Econ) or Technical Sciences (Engineering, Physics) and three years of investment banking experience
• Strong quantitative skills, including financial modeling and financial statement analysis
• Possessing the ability to succinctly express ideas
• Extraordinary critical thinking and problem solving ability
• Excellent organization, communication and research skills
• Strong team player; motivated self-starter
• Desire to be part of close-knit group operating in an intensive environment
• Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
Preferred Qualifications:
• MBA, MA in Accounting, MS in Finance or other advanced financial certification (CFA/CPA)
• 3+ years investment banking M&A experience
• Series 7/79 & 63 (within six months of employment)
