Elavon is currently seeking an Automation Developer, who operates within an Innovation Development Team through Agile/SCRUM methodology working with Product, Program, Operations, and Technology managers to bring solutions to the market that address needs determined through feedback collected from the market. He/she designs, builds, and develops automation scripts and works side-by-side with Manual Testers and Software Developers to ensure test case/script coverage is complete. Additional responsibilities include:
• Executes test scripts and collects results for reporting purposes;
• Writes up defects with applicable supporting evidence of defect;
• Actively participates in team discussions;
• Tests web applications and mobile device applications thoroughly;
• Participates in design workshops;
• Tests custom and enhanced applications;
• Researches and resolves issues;
• Interfaces and consults with product owners; and
• Possesses and applies a basic understanding of client's business(es).
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related technical field OR equivalent, relevant work experience
• Minimum four years in Automation Development or at least two years of programming experience
• Programming skills in Java or proficient with at least one scripting language
• Ability to troubleshoot and debug software
• Team worker who works easily with others
• Must be proactive with strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
• In-depth knowledge of Quality Assurance processes and good practices
• Previous experience with test automation tools such as, but not limited to, Selenium, Calabash, SOAPUI
• Familiar with Linux OS and Linux commands
• Agile (e.g. SCRUM) software development certifications and/or equivalent experience
