Elavon is currently seeking an Enterprise Project Management Office Program Manager (EPMO PM), who will direct the overall work efforts of a project team. He/she will provide oversight to meet established function, quality, cost, and schedule goals and objectives for large-sized program(s) with extensive complexity spanning multiple business lines with duration of 12-18 months. The successful candidate will have a comprehensive to expert knowledge of assigned business function and technical skills and will be recognized as an expert in several project areas. Additional responsibilities are as follows:
• Methodology & Tools
◦ Manages programs/projects from initial concept through post implementation, including multiple implementation cycles; and
◦ Plans and controls multiple related projects with complex dependencies and shared resources.
• Relationship Management
◦ Builds bridges and relationships with sponsoring executives and among different groups within and outside of technology and operations while serving as a liaison; and
◦ Addresses issues via direct 1:1 dialog with project resources.
• Planning Control
◦ Authors project management artifacts;
◦ Develops and maintains project plan(s);
◦ Works with resource managers to obtain resources;
◦ Ensures project governance is established and observed; and
◦ Recognizes, clarifies, and prioritizes project plan activities.
• Communication
◦ Authors effective (clear, concise, relevant) communication for program/project stakeholders; and
◦ Communicates difficult and/or complex ideas and presents the appropriate (tailored) message to audiences, up to and including those down from the CEO.
• Team Building
◦ Determines knowledge and skills required for successful project outcomes;
◦ Promotes collaborative relationships across project team members; and
◦ Inspires commitment, high energy, and positive attitudes.
• Resource Management
◦ Manages program/project team size of more than 35 team members;
◦ Manages a staff of up to five employees as needed; and
◦ Recommends for hires, transfers, terminations, salary adjustments, performance standards, and reviews.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
• Master's degree, or equivalent work experience
• Ten-plus years of experience in IT Project Management with tools and techniques for planning, organizing, monitoring and controlling IT projects
• Five or more years of managerial experience
Preferred Qualifications
• PMP certification
• Payments/financial industry expertise
◦ Integrated Payments and eCommerce domain knowledge
• Waterfall and Agile SDLC expertise
• Prior “Big 4” consulting experience
• Ability to manage and work with globally-distributed teams
